Hello,
Had a wonderful weekend of being spoiled at my parents house. Was brilliant to catch up with them and other family.
Friday was an ok day too but I made poor wardrobe choices that really did not help turn ok into brilliant and I felt a bit washed out.
They grey nails were the tip of the iceberg. I think the colour looks ok against the backdrop of the mirror frame and seen next to a nice blue/purple/red/orange/any colour would have been great. Alas they were not.
My feet were shoed up in these. Grey with silver tips. I have had these shoes for 2 years and have contemplated getting rid of them a couple of times. They are painful and I cannot walk in them so it should have been an easy decision but I struggle getting rid of excess stuff.
So we have an outfit of grey shoes, grey nail varnish, grey jumper, black and white aztec-type skirt and silver jewellery. This top-to-toe grey mistake has confirmed to me that I'm not a neutrals person. I avoid black to a certain extent and I am now certain that other neutrals also drain me when worn alone and I must embrace colour every day.
To assist in this, those grey shoes are being removed from my possession. They are sat on the red ikea rug waiting for tomorrow morning to be escorted off the premises. You see - I do allow colour in the home!
I really must take more time to plan outfits and pull together clothes that make me happy and confident, I don't allow time for this planning in the morning normally which is the problem! The answer is of course to take 5 mins the evening before. Simple and quick but its the motivation lacking. I've got Monday sorted for the coming week so I'm going to take it from there.
I feel whacked this evening..too much relaxation obviously.
LZ x
