Holiday reading

I thought I would be calling this blog four eyes thoughts on books n life or bookworm's books, etc.
I thought talking about all those books I read would be my back-up blog topic.
Well that would have been embarrassing as I haven't read a book since my pre-blog life.
My last read was Hunger Games Trilogy over Christmas, yes awesome and addictive.

Thank goodness for holiday and some much-needed holiday reading.
 I fit in 3.5 books.

The Engagements by J Courtney Sullivan

Great. Intertwining stories which allowed loads of very different characters. I guess it was a commentary on the wedding industry from the 50s to the present day. It also makes a girl think twice about wanting a diamond engagement ring. Why does "one"(me) want an engagement ring? Why does "one" (me) feel like it must be a diamond...9/10.

*For non-readers out there, I've just seen that Reece Witherspoon has bought the film rights for this so let her make the film of The Gone Girl and in about 5 years you'll be able to watch this and know what I've been going on about.

Operation Sunshine Jenny Colgan It was bobbins. Full of fluff. Annoyed myself by buying it, but it was from Oxfam so at least they got a donation out of it. Do not buy. No photo for it cause I don't want to put one.

I love her books. I'm a superfan. This is one of her best ones plot summary - Nazi war criminal asks granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor to kill him. The structure was so clever and as usual its the characters and their relationships with one another that are the main draw of the book. There were almost tears at the end. 10/10.

Lee Child Never Go back Halfway through. I love Jack Reacher. It was a travesty that Tom Cruise played him in a film. Reacher is twice the height of Cruise.

I need some book recommendations please.
